    SA brownshirt collar piping

Regarding the twisted cord collar piping applied to SA brownshirts, was the dimensional size of the cord (diameter, twist rate, etc.) the same as used in production of the shoulder board?

Yes and same as used on the collar tabs. I can't remember the exact dimensions off hand but they are discussed in the David Fuller book. Or, you can find the info in period books.

Thanks. I had seen some shirts where the twisted cord collar piping was smaller diameter than that of on the shoulder board and was wondering if that pointed toward reproduction cord or if it were a legitimate size variation.

According to the 1936 RZM production instructions, the SA 2 color collar piping was 3mm, collar tab piping 2mm, shoulderboard cord for SA Mann to Obertruppführer 4mm. The allowable tolerance was ±10%.
