You better throw some moth balls / crystals into your storage container or your items will look like the ones that started this thread. those little buggers really destroy anything made from natural fibers and some even eat fur as well.

Holy Nutcracker you have to act immediately. You can see the trail where that 'thing' has been eating the Buckram. You need to freeze, then fumigate, everything.

              Immediately.

My technique is 3 days minimum in a freezer at the lowest setting, three days out of the freezer at room temperature and 3 more days in the freezer. The rational is: the first freeze kills anything alive, warmer temperature simulates spring so any eggs hatch ant the second freeze kills what hatches. I have a freezer dedicated to nothing but insect control. Anything coming into the house that has been in contact with wool goes into the freezer! NO EXCEPTIONS! Right now I have an SS cuff title and shoulder strap as well as an early political diamond in the freezer.

Then annual whole house treatment by a company that understands silver fish, clothing moths and carpet beetles (the last ones are the nasty buggers that got me about 15 to 20 years ago.) You have to declare war!

Yeah, that double freezing with warming up in between makes absolutely sense! Great hint [emoji106] Thanks
