its not veterans related I believe like Stahlhelm/Soldatenbund or Freikorps...

Pre 1941 prison guard???

This "mystery cap" was shown by Stonemint stating it had a chance of being an early prison guard cap...
same piping farbe and wool color! A match?
but only with 1 shoulder strap????

I am pretty sure now its police related...Weimar period?

The mining police (bergpolizei or bergbaupolizei) had something similar but their traditional color for uniforms was black (coal black), and cuff buttons are placed horizontally ...
but I still see some similarities...

Are there any other Police related units ? Is there such a thing as Forest Police? (wald Polizei? or are those just game wardens?
