My last addition is the gendarmerie lieutenant, November 1944. Unfortunately, the scanner is broken and I use the seller’s scan.

This old timer looks a barrel of laughs.

But he does have a nice medal bar, 1936 Olympic medal and a Polizei long service cross.

And not only is he wearing a Senior NCO / Officers visor cap, he has also treated himself to a two piece cap Eagle, must have been doing overtime.

Yeah, I knew re the Officer visor cap and his rank, just the first time I'd seen an NCO with a two piece cap badge.

                      Cheers

Interesting picture, especially his medal combination. Long time police officer (I assume the police long service decoration is the gold decoration for 25 years) with no WWI service, not even a Hindenburg Cross for non-combatants.

Unfortunately, after updating the forum, some of my threads, messages and some friends disappeared (((
Bill in a thread about sleeve eagles showed such an eagle for the gendarmerie. The example below is for ShuPo.

                            Regards.
