I have a general question. Would it be possible that a Police Hauptmann could be activated from reserves and pulled into the Heer as a higher ranking NCO in early 1939? I know many times there was a direct rank transfer for officers. I was thinking there may have been required training before they were commissioned in the army as officers and NCO rank might have been during the transition period especially if WWI or Landwehr Veterans.
