    Hi Bill

Thanks for the pic. Your effort in trying to identify the bus is much appreciated. I have magnified the side of the hood showing that the slats have been removed.
Also there is an embossed word on the side of the bus which I have magnified as well. It's probably nothing but may provide a clue. d----g?

        Hi Bill

Here are some photos from a 9 Pz. Division album showing the use of civilian cars.

First one a column of trucks and cars. First truck is a Steyr 640.
        Next is a Mercedes-Benz. I think a L 3000 model.
        Any ideas on the cars?

Looks like the convoy may have just come under fire.

          Two Mercedes-Benz cars and trucks.

A BMW 323 and Mercedes-Benz 170 V with civilian paint jobs. The BMW's numberplate is blank and the soldiers look like they are opening up paint tins.

That should read A BMW 326.

                  Hi Larry:
                  Great photos as always.
                  In the first one:
                  Steyr
                  Benz
                  Adler
                  Opel
                  Chev or Ford
                  Ford 39/40
Do you know where the photo was taken??

The registration plate on the first BMW Photo may have been blanked out by the censors. This seems to have happened quite often.
                  Regards
                  Bill

                    Hi Bill

Thanks for the IDs. The first, third and fourth pics were taken in Greece. The second in Russia.

Here's some more from the album.

                    First 3 taken in Greece.

MB 170 V and what looks like a Adler 3 Gd Kubelwagen.

                            My Larry:

I think I am teaching you well.

I almost feel like Yoda from Star Wars.

Good job on the ID's, I may come back on a few.
                            Regards
                            Bill

Thanks Bill. You have taught me well, but there's still a long way to go.
I'm sure that I can find more pics in my collection to test your skills.

I'm getting better at IDing German makes and models but have some way to go on IDing American vehicles.

BTW...I haven't been able to open Bart Vanderveen's "Military Vehicles Directory" because my wife has wrapped it in Xmas paper and put it away.

                              Cheers
