Hi Andreas,

what type is your HP scanner ?

I used an HP scanner in past but changed recently to an "Epson 4870 Photo".

I use : HP ScanJet Scanner der Serie 3400C / 4300C and
HP PrecisionScan LTX Scanner-Software, Version 1.11

and Photoshop 7

I get only black looking Scans

Hi Andreas,

I've check some HP files: It seems Scanjet 3400C/4300C series are in the default configuration not able to scan negatives and slides. Only the 5370C was equiped with a active lighted transparency adapter (German: "Durchlichteinheit").

For the Scanjet 3500C was this special accessory available, but I'm in doubt if it is suitable for a 3400C.
