Picked up this framed photo - 30cm x 40cm - Christmas 1940 - Gebirgsjäger Regiment 99 mounting a guard of honour commemorating fallen WW1 Gebirgsjäger soldiers and keeping a symbolic watch over the land. The Gebirgsjäger monument built 1924, still stands on the Grünten Mountain, just a couple of miles away from the Gebirgsjäger camps in Sonthofen. Nice inscription and art work around photo.
