    "Ehrenurkunde" assault badge 26.Inf.Div.

    Dear all,

    Would like to share this grouping which I personally much prefer for its great "Ehrenurkundes" (honour award documents).

    I was unaware of its existence and surprised (like many times before) , when it was offered to me years ago.

    After being involved in 3 infantry assaults "Unteroffizier" Backhaus participated in 3 and 6 additonal assaults and was awarded for each 3 extra assaults.

    It is clearly a special 26.Inf.Div. edition and I wonder what other units issued these great documents?

    Hope to see other great examples of this common/fantastic badge!!

    Regards
    Mark

          hello

          mid 1942, 26 I.D. decided to creat a specific doc called Ehrenurkunde. In fact at this time a lot of soldiers still got ISA and had experienced a lot of other fights without real retribution and CCC didn't exist yet.
          This item is an award for 3 more fights then 6 fights in total for the soldier, I know one for 6 more fights (9 fights in total);
          I've ever seen this kind of doc for another division, but don't remember the whisch one.....

          regards

            Pierre,

            Thanks for your interesting contributuion!
            Never realised there was a gap between the "Infanterie-Sturrm"award and the "Nahkampfspange".

            The shown Soldbuch with "Nahkampftage" or closecombatlist is from "Feldwebel" Hermann Nass who served within Füs.Rgt.39.of the 26.Inf.Div.
