Field marshal Wolfram von Richthofen albums

4 more original photo albums which belonged to Fieldmarshal Wolfram Von Richthofen have surfaced .
I sold 2 back in April at my local auctioneers . As a result of the good press publicity a further 4 are now up for auction . Sadly , not my property this time around .

    Hello !

Thanks for pointing to those certainly otstanding albums.
Just for curiosity : the estimate price £ 10000-14000 is for the whole group or for each of the 5 Albums ?!

If you are interested in the personality of Fieldmarshal Wolfram von Richthofen, there is an interesting book,
mainly dealing with the battles in Southern Russia in 1942, but it also has a lot of von Richthofens way
of supporting that advance (often citing his personal diary) :
Author : Joel S. Hayward, Title : Stopped at Stalingrad

    Best regards,

      Hello Archi ,
Wolfram was indeed a fascinating man and worthy of a big budget film or Tv documentary .
Estimate of £10,000 -£14,000 is for each album . I'm especially looking forward to viewing the Stalingrad album .
These are 100% authentic . The untidy writing is Wolfram's ..The neater captions were written by a member of his staff .
      In March my 2 sold for £15,000 & £25,000.
The WW1 u-boat album is mine ( hopefully only for another couple of days ) . It is excellent and after 10 years of ownership I shall miss it , but sadly ,bills need to be paid .

Viewed the albums this evening . They are excellent .
The albums are completely in their original state , nothing missing .
There are many photos within each album , Richthofen is seen throughout . Many of these photos will be unpublished .
There are many photos of high ranking individuals , but also loads of photos of planes , aerial photos showing bomb damage , tanks etc .
I will try to add a few images to give a flavour .
One covers time with legion Condor ( contains many more photos than the one I had ) , the other 3 seem to all related to the invasion of the Soviet Union .
The one which covers Stalingrad was my favorite .
If I had the money I would rather buy these than an expensive car . They are very significant original photo albums.
..a reminder please ..how do i upload images ?
