The only other example of a Helmut Meckel signature I have seen is from the 'Das Ritterkreuz' site, and to be honest I do not know where that example originates from.

With any KIA RKT (in that case 08-May-1943) the market over the past few years has involved many fakes and much dis-trust among collectors.

Always difficult to ascertain the originality of signatures with these unless there is a 100% attributable example to compare with.

The fakers have been 'signing' original photographs for many years now, and that in turn has sown a real bed of doubt among collectors.

Nice portrait photo, but without additonal material to compare with, no way to tell from these images.
