    Knights Cross Award Document Question

Not sure if this is the right forum and if it's not I'm extremely sorry but I had a quick question. On formal award documents for the Knights Cross would the recipients middle name be included or would it just be his first and last name? Thanks in advance for your response!

    Hi Steve!
Each variant is possible. At the beginning of WWII only the last name was used, e.g. "Leutnant Steger" (instead of "Leutnant Fritz Steger").
If You do a search for KC-docs (or just look at the REALLY great thread "Knight's crosses today" in the crosses area) You will find many exemples answering Your question.

    Kind regards, Peter

Sorry Steve, just recognized that You wrote FORMAL docs.
Those I have seen myself only had first and last name, no middle.
      Best, Peter
