Is that Heinz Lammerding in the second (black&white) photo??

I'm not sure it's the same location in both photos in note #4. The paving stones in the modern photo are set in a different direction to the ones in the period photo, and it appears that the street is considerably wider in the modern photo than the one in the period photo. Of course, over the last 70+ years the street could have been widened and repaved...

At 100% is the place, it has been checked many times, even the birches grow the same as pictured on the right. The road is the same, the picture seems wider, but it's an illusion. The curbs were kidnapped. The same road many years ago, photographed by the Pustkow

No, you are not imagining it, but it is not unusual that the road has been resurfaced after so many years. The width of the junction is the same in both images. I'd say it's the same location.

My guess would be that the original war dated photo was taken a little bit to the right in relation to the modern photo, that is judging by the orientation or pattern of the stone work running into the curb.
