              panzerman in profile

Here's a blond panzerman in profile. What's that badge he has next to his collar? I see he has a sports badge, but I'm refering to the thing above it.

Hi John. He's wearing the ribbonbar for the annexation of the sudetenland with the "prager burg" spange.
                Regards, Alex

                  Hi Alex,

Thanks for the help. So this photo was probably taken between say 1938-1940? What was the prager burg spange?

                    Hi John,
the Praguer Castle bar spange (prager Burg) was awarded to men who were involved in the occupation of the Sudetenland and the annexation of Bohemia and Moravia. The spange was affixed to the Sudetenland medal ribbon bar and was available to be awarded to all German branches/personnel

So this fellow took part in the Annexation and specifically was involved in occupying the Prague Castle. That was 1938, and without any bravery or other badges, I'd have to say it was taken shortly after the annexation. Would that be a fair guess?

mmm, not sure when it was taken really. I believe he is wearing the 3rd pattern wrap, which to my knowledge was modified/ issued in 42. But I could be wrong, as Im still learning myself. Maybe someone else could chime in.

Most likely, could be during the French Campaign in 1940. Nice images StuGIII

(note: he has been in the Wehrmacht for a long time, participated on the Ostfront 1941/42, but no Iron Cross or KVK.)
