LVF ! New French volunteer photo !

    Hello,

I present my new find on the theme of the LVF ! Here is a photo showing soldiers of the Légion des volontaires Français (Legion of French Volunteers) on the Eastern Front. This could be the line up of the first battalion of the LVF in the winter of 1941. The shield "France" is visible on the first two men. However subtlety is that the NCO in the foreground, stick in one hand and pipe in the other, bearing French medals reminders on his coat, (more visible with a magnifying glass) process that has absolutely nothing regulatory and who has never seen on a photo.
Given the text it likely that the picture was taken by a German soldier.
If someone happens to translate the text on the back, I'm interested, the first two words are easy but for more ...

(Le Lys is my nickname on an other forum)

    Regards

" Freiwillige Franzosen, die mit uns am Winteranfang an f(v)orderster Linie kämpften.

Auf dem rechten Arm sieht man ihre Landesfarben. "

Thank you very much Gerdan, but I'm not comfortable with German language... Can you tell me more ?
