My New Favorite Panzer Postcard / Need Help with Philately

    Hello Gents,

I wasn't sure which Forum was best to post under, but I wanted to share a recent postcard that I purchased. It's definitely my new favorite Panzer-related postcard, with the beautiful full-color artwork. But even more intriguing is the reverse. I'd appreciate any information on the philately, in particular, the purple unit stamp, and I'm wondering if the silver foil "cinderella" has a particular meaning, or is nothing more than a very neat decoration, added by the sender?

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,
    Doug

The tank Vignette was added by the sender and is not philatelic in origin. Usage of the Feldpost did not require stamps as did regular civilian mails.

      Cheers,

The soldier was in the Bergkaserne in Erfurt when he wrote the postcard.

Here a photo of the Bergkaserne:
