    Help with u-boat sailor translation...

I recently acquired a nice collection of photos belonging to one u-boat sailor. Unfortunately there is only one with writing and nothing else to help identify him or the boat he was on. Any help would be appreciated.

I thik on the back are written the Latin names of some plants, so as Radix Althea
    or Althea officinalis:

All of it is along those lines...one says rĂ¼ssische glabra, and there's a couple more Glabra's there.

other Latin names of plants, so typica gladulifera and glandulifera liquritiae as far as I can read

          the botanic names.

Looks like glandulifera is also there

So, it seems that nothing related to the sailor. Perhaps someone writing down notes on the back of the photo.

I've been going through the photos and discovered one is the photo of HMS Seal M37 sailing. I can't find a record of the Seal being involved with any specific u-boat.

One more clue, there is a photo of this sailor with crewmates at the Parthenon in Greece.
