    Gruppe Feurstein

    Hi, mates !

Want to show you this, very interesting, Gebirgsjäger group.

Years ago I got this document as a part of a legacy.
Size of the document: 31,5 x 21 cm

Does anybody of you have further informations concerning this certificate ?

Generalleutnant Valentin Feuerstein was Commander of the 2nd Mountain-Division from April 1938 till March 1941, (Knight´s Cross 12th of August 1944).

    Th. in advance,
    R.

                  Interesting !
As far as I learned, such groups aren´t that common and valuable.

They seem to turn up more often than you might think, there's a few currently for sale around the place.

When it comes to the 2 Geb.Div. and the Norwegian campaign, the really rare ones you want to be looking for are to those who qualified for the FJ badge, especially those that jumped at Narvik, a total of 454 soldiers from the division were recommended for the FJ badge, but in the last 15 years i've seen i think 2 groupings.
Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

                      Thx. for the informations.
Sadly I own only one single Photograph, (Pk-size), of one of those soldiers.
