Here is a large (17 x 23 cm) picture of 1./<BIG><BIG>Panzer-Abwehr-Abteilung 3</BIG></BIG> from July 1938. This group was attached to 3. Infanterie-Division, which was ultimately destroyed at Stalingrad. Obviously a number of these guys transferred and what not but I'm sure many of them, in this picture, would have never imagined what they would be going through 4.5 years later.
