    Jason,

I will attach the LW Tactical symbol. It may have belonged to another unit. I still have three other albums and in them is a close up of one of the unit's tactical symbols which is very different from the one you are requesting.

    Elwyn,

I don't believe there is a RK in pic number 20. There is another Officer in pic #19 and also #27 who is wearing some kind of cross but it isn't a RK.

Thanks for the comments guys!! Here is a page out of Album three....a close up of a LWFD soldier wearing his LWFD collar tab...but there is also a pretty Red Cross nurse in the pic as well.

          Hello again Bill,

thanks for the continued postings, the images you have shown so far are simply superb...STuGs, assault boats, and some really nice uniform shots too .

I have a request if possible. Could you perhaps enlarge two shots for me?
The shots are in post 24 : the troops heading off the beach in splinter camo, and in post 27: The MG34 gunner with the helmet with camo netting ( i have just come into possession of such a helmet so this is a great shot for me!).

Thanks again for adding to the far too limited photo documentation of LWFD.

          Patrick.

                    Hi Bill,

                    thanks for the swift reply!
The only use i shall be putting these great shots to is for my own enjoyment and education i can assure you. I especially like the the field expedient "assault" configuration of the Zeltbahn and messkit in the enlarged beach shot.

Thanks again, it's very much appreciated .

                    Patrick.

Great close ups, thanks. I would be interested in seeing that other symbol you mention as well, just for comparison. In my entire collection of Lw.F.D. photos, I have only two unit symbols, so I would be grateful to see yours.

Though I might make a small contribution to this thread on the Lw.F.D. Since I have quite a large collection I wanted to show something you don't see all the time. I hope you enjoy them, and thanks again for sharing your pics Bill.
                      Jason

                      1. Very interesting uniform combination here, as well as the Nahkampfspange. I have a couple of Lw.F.D. RK and DKiG photos, but this is still one of my favorite awards to see, and the only time I have seen it on a non-HG Felddivision soldier.

                      2. Since you had some great StuG pics, thought I might add one of my own. I recently added a couple of sets of Lw. StuG pics to my collection, but this is actually one of the pics I had gotten awhile back. This is a StuG from 2. Lw.Felddivision in transport to the Eastern Front in late 1942.

Hi W Petz, Thank you for sharing the very nice pictures of your Albums, I hope you let us see more of it.
Well I found the for me " personal superb picture " on the 4 thread, it is the photo from a Mercedes-Benz L 1500 A
Maybe you have read my Thread about the L 1500 A on this Forum , I have at home the reel thing, so an original photo is for me an highlight. Thanks

                              Jason,

Great photos!! Unique uniform shot of the LWFD soldier. Somehow I believe he was either a transfer or volunteer from the Army!!! He has Army collar tabs on his flieger blouse and several Army Awards...very unusual and a rare combination!!! want to sell it!! Ha,Ha,Ha!! I will post the other unit tactical symbol soon. Thanks! - Bill

                              Jack,

Thanks! I know you are into LWFD as well and appreciate them just as much as Jason does. Bill
