Yes, thats Tito. When I was in elementary school I had to learn a lot from the domain of communist mythology. But tha dumbest of all fairy tales was when this dog, called Rex, saved Titos life. Namely, during Operation Rosselsprung shells fell in Tito's vicinity but the dog sensed the danger and threw himself on Tito. Shrapnel hit Rex but he lived.

Great story! You know- there MIGHT be some grain of truth in this one- Rex might have been so terrorized by the shelling that he leaped into his master's arms! And he was such a big dog he knocked Tito down. LOL The alleged incident took place on June 9, 1943. The bombing was real enough.. several people including an American advisor were killed. Of course the communist ideology would have it that Rex was a card-carrying Party member (canine division).

By the way, there is one account that the leaping dog was named Tucs instead of Rex.
