I found this picture very interesting. Note that the Totenkopf soldier has a nicely shortened tunic, mountain gaiters, two M43 grenades with splinter sleeves and, I think, a MP34. I had thought the MP34 was obsolete by the time the M43 grenade was in use, but I was wrong! Any comments? Thanks, Kerry.
