A great shot of two Pak NCO's, one hand camouflaging his helmet with mud (Reverse of photo reads - in part - "Sergeant Lehning camouflaging his helmet"....). Note also the Binoculars and Potato Masher in the belt of the NCO on the left along with the heavily camo'ed 3.7 cm Pak 36 in the background....a French Campaign era photo.

Maybe the writing on the reverse is bogus and what is really happening here is that he's actually trying to scrape off of his helmet a well known farm-yard substance that has the same Mud-like
texture...
