Awards documents grouping - what value ?

    Hi Guys,

I`m not in docs so I`d like to know your opinion about market value of a nice grouping after Uffz/Leutnant from 3/Schn.Abteilung 212 and later 1/Pz.Jgr.Abteilung 212 (from 212 Inf. Div.) - Leningrad,Wolchow, which contains:

    1. Winterschlacht doc
    2. EK2 doc
    3. EK1 doc
    4. black wound doc
    5. silver wound doc
    6. GAB bronze doc
    7. CCC bronze doc
    8. German Cross in Gold doc
    9. Preliminary GCiG doc
    10. nomination for Feldwebel doc

    thanks in advance...........

    Can you show pictures?

I'll say anywhere from $200 to $3000 without seeing them.

Pictures are necessary. Need to see condition they're in, who signed them, where they were awarded, when they were awarded, rare variations, etc.

ANY of them could be signed by RK holders. But you're right, only probably about 1/2 could be signed by generals.

Maybe they're torn in half and held together with tape with water stains and de-nazified. Or not....

These are reasons why the pix are so important.

Ok Guys, I`ll try to get the pictures, it can take a few days .... as I was told awards docs are in good condition and are dated on 1940-1943 time.
Later he most probably died or was transfered to another unit - 212 was destroyed in Latvia in 1944.

                  Completely right......

By the Way, be VERY cautious with DK-Groups nowadays, especially with formal Award doc. If you can get first good Pics of this Group, I consider it as a most negative Signal !! Take care, and merry Christmas. Lionel.

Ok Guys, it took a while but I finally got the group

I guess it is worth of showing because it turned out that the soldiers name is Ludwig Kleber (DKiG, Ehrenblatt and RK trager)

Docs were put into the last page/cover`s pocket of his photo album

It is some extended version of such Errinnerungen albums, as you can see it has larger format, there are intro writings about german army, german commanders, history of Doberitz military school etc. later there are some souvenir school Kameraden writings, then at least 20-30 pages of machine writing about Klebers unit fight in France 1940, later there are some photos of Kleber and also Hitlers visit in his unit, I`m not sure if they are one of a kind but they are made on original paper.....I guess whole album is real and untouched since war....

This group was found in the fabric which buys all kinds of old papers from the people (!) and turns it into new paper. Thank God this album was pull out before puting it into the blender !
