Ein General @1943 mit RK

I bought this off Herr Stogieman heute and was wondering if any kind scholar might be able to ID this unknown General @ 1943-45. Note what I found so interesting -an assault badge! Not one of those sitting in Warsaw counting socks officers but one who actually led in combat. Pity he wasn't wearing his ribbon bar though.
