Does anyone recognize this General? Is he Luftwaffe? Looks like he has 1 pip on two-toned braded shoulder boards which would signify a rank of Generalleutnant. Note the lack of other insignia which indicates he was probably a POW at the time this image was taken. There is a handwritten description on reverse. Please look below... Any ideas as to what it says? Does any one know the significance of the #62 patch?

I think it looks more like 52 than 62.
