    Max Schmeling Autograph and Card Question

    Hi all

    I recently aquired a Max Schmeling/Anny Ondra signed photo Card from Ross Verlag. I have determined that the card is from 1937. Max's autograph is in pencil and Anny is in fountain pen. Any commets would be welcomed. I would like to know why the 3 cent US stamp was put on the back? Was it a form of Tax?? Any idea's. The original owner was near 90 when he died last year and his wife did not have a clue why the stamp was there...

    Husband and wife.

    The stamp was not a tax. There is no explanation for why it would be stuck diagonally on the back, in the middle. Maybe they were together in a drawer, in a humid environment.

        This one was sold at auction for $350 not too long ago.
        I have no idea if the autographs are genuine, but it gives something to compare to.
