    "Yancy,

your Sturmpanzer IV is # 11 from Sturmpanzer-Abteilung 216, lost in June 1944 in the vicinity of Rome, Italy. Other pictures clearly show the number 11 in white.

    Cheers

    Matthias"

interesting info thanks matthias, ill look for more info from this unit!

Here is a destroyed panzer at Monte Cassino! Not real sure it is not a STuG.

Cool picture John with your father.

I think this type of panzer is the same type of which I have a picture of. Is it a Stug or Sturmhaubitze?

The one from my picture is abandoned/destroyed by her crew in Moerdijk (Holland) november 1944.

            regards Erwin

Bill Here is a new pickeup from a small grouping taken at Monte Cassino. A knocked out STuG. There are 4 snaps total and looks like the soldier is using either a very cheap camera or still hasn't got the knack of his liberated Leica.

Thanks, he says this one was not knocked out but ran out of fuel and was abandoned near the Airbase.

Hey Bill, Naw just got lucky for once, the benefit of having a boss that doesn't mind. Of course there are two other forum members who were able to nab a photo as well!

                            Thanks! Mike
