                        jtrowbridge5.

Since it is an anti-aicraft gun (3.7cm by the looks of it) I would think those Kill rings would be for aircraft and not Armor....there are 15 rings by the way....as for the assortment of items....I've seen that many times before in photos. I've shown pics of areas that were used as collection points in this thread. This just seems to be a smaller collection point on items collected from around the area of Antwerp. Bill

Destroyed German armour (don't know what type) somewhere in Italy. Troops are New Zealanders.

                            Larrister,

That could be a flakvierling on a Panzer III or IV chassis...it's pretty well destroyed by a possible internal explosion. Nice photo!!! Thanks for sharing and posting it on this thread. Did you find it in a NZ Veterans photo album? Bill

                              Hi Bill

Yes, the photo is from a New Zealand vet's album. The album covers his time in Italy and Germany.

                                Hi Bill,

I have just done a high res. scan of photo and think there may be two vehicles in this photo. The front vehicle with men standing on it may be a flakvierling whilst there seems to be another ruined tracked vehicle (possibly pz.III) behind it. Here are two photos from scan, one showing what looks like a gun barrel on ground beside rear vehicle and shells on ground in front of first vehicle.

                                Best regards
                                Larrister
