award certificate(s) help!

Is it possible to have been awarded an observers badge and one month later, a pilots badge.

I'm thinking of purchasing two documents and just noticed this. The observer's doc. is dated 18th of november and the pilots award certificate, 14 of december. Both are dated 1939.

How about if this man was a corporal of the reserves?
