I remember looking at a photo album for a forum member with this guy in it......I think th album had reference to a Stuka Geschwader but I could not verify who he was!
If I remember correctly he was a recconnaisance pilot!?!?!!?!!?!?

This is what I found when I looked at this album some time ago......

      Aircraft marked? S4+AK – Aircraft “A” 2 Staffel Küstenfliegergruppe 506.

If the album is from 2/506 then it was re-designated 8/KG 26 on 8.6.1942……..therefore the RKT should be Major Klaus Nocken (RK 29.10.1943, DK 20.10.1942 as Hptm. III/26, EP 4.5.1942 as Oblt.)… Stab/506 became Stab III/KG 26, 1/506 became 7/KG 26 and 3/506 became 9/KG 26 on the same date as above……seeing as the whole Gruppe became elements of III/KG 26 I think this can be the only option……there was also Major Viktor von Loßberg (RK 17.10.1941) III/KG 26, however he can be ruled out as he never served with 506 and did not have a DK at the time…..in fact never had one!

It is definately not Major Ernst-Heinrich Thomsen (RK 24.10.1944) but he was the Küflgr. 506 Kommandeur…..RK as Gr.Kdr. III/KG 26.

Major Klaus Nocken is my guess

        Thank you!

All this will help me a lot. Since there are a lot of photos from Trondheim in the album, and Ku.Fl.Gr. 506 was stationed in Trondheim from 1940.

So this is something I can work out from, and study more. The gathering of information has started. THANKS!

          Hello
          Interestinh thread
Here is my guess, sorted by descending order of preference

          1- Werner Klümper
          2- Klaus Nöcken
          3- Georg Teske

Have you seen the 2 thread below the DKiG of the unknown RKT posted by TOr. I would say there were intended to wear a Spanienkreuz. Klümper was awarded this latter medal.
          Regards
          Denis
