Possibly fake photo - 2nd opinions wanted

I picked up this picture on ebay the other day and after recieving it I am not 100% sure it is good, any 2nd opinions on this ? I know having it in hand is always better but I am not sure on this one and so would like some 2nd opinions.

The areas of concern I have is that when you hold the photo to the light the surface is in remarkably good even condition, not flawless but only very slight pock marks on the surface of the front of it. Also the reverse has an odd feel to it, it has a very very slightly glossy feel to it. Please note also the staining on the middle right does not seem to affect the photo surface texture at all.

Here are the pictures of it front and back, please note the 4 corners of the front and also the condition on the back. Any comments/views on this appreciated.

IMO a period produced print (with legitimate period handwriting).

Considering the lack of comments in this thread - in regards to originality of the photo and the image itself - I take it that a lot of collectors missed the "Pol.-Batl. 101" marking upon initial viewing...

I agree, a Period photo. I could see where you might have worried a bit, because the Obverse image is not aligned correctly.....but this is seen alot with period photos actually.

Looks fine. Back of pic looks like the remains left over after sitting for somtime in a modern sticky back type photoalbum .
