Does anyone know who this KM officer is? It is interesting because he must be reknown if they actually made a postcard in his honor. (??)

The painter Adolf Schlawing was born 1888 in Gross-Lunau/West Prussia and he died 1957 in the age auf 69 years in Vietze.
He was a famous painter.

adolf schlawing lived in vietze (germany/lower saxony) from 1921 until his death in 1957. so the
pictured officer should be someone who had been garrisoned in this region (gartow, höhbeck ...) in 1942. may be also lüneburg, because schlawing had some exhibitions in lüneburg and various clients there. is there any notification on the backside of the postcard?

Yes, the officer is now identified as Carl Dünkel.

He was an Leutnant z.S. when he signed the back in April 1942. I have another couple of photos of him now. I think he was a Blockadebrecher officer. The latest photo I have of him is in 1943. I think he is a Sonderführer and was an Oberleutnant z.S. (S). Joe
