Yes, a fine autograph on an interesting document. Himmler presented and endorsed this police promotion on behalf of Reichsminister of the Interior Wilhelm Frick, and it came at a mid-point in Himmler's long-standing attempt to add Frick's position to his own long string of job titles! Hitler gave Himmler charge of all German police forces in 1936 -- heretofore a major function of the Minister of the Interior -- and this promotion was written in 1940, meaning that Frick was still nominally in charge of police. It took Himmler three more years to finally absorb Frick's Interior position into his realm, but here we see a snapshot of that ongoing intrigue in action. Many thanks for sharing it!
