US 1945 Aircraft color photo slides

Hi guys,

I just acquired a group of 24 oriignal private color kodak photo slides of a American US airforce unit in 1945.

I have absolutly no idea of value for this group or historical information.

So If anyone can enlighten me, that would be super.

Although I have no idea about the value, I have to say that it is a very nice grouping of slides! Shame I never see them for sale anywhere.

Thank you for the message.
I was very lucky to acquire this collection. I have found it very hard to find groupings of US airforce slides. I think the US soldiers and airmen must have taken many color slides but the problem for a collector is..... many of the us families are very proud of this family history and so, dont sell these things. This of course is better for family history but makes it a little harder for the collector.

I hope to have time this week to post some better scans from this collection.

Superb slides, Ian! If you ever decide to part with them, I'm sure I could find a museum here in the US that would treasure these images.

These are only the samples i got from the us seller.
But the originals are so sharp and bright, it looks like these old Kodachrome slides were shot yesterday.

I should have time in the next days to make some nice scans and let you enjoy the real details of these treasures.
