Dear collecting colleagues,
I would like to share this recent acquisition with you, picked up this evening. It is a so-called Passierschein for an Erla-Maschinenwerke employee, giving her the permission to travel by train to the Mortsel plant of the Erla-Maschinenwerke company. Erla-Maschinenwerke was in charge of aircraft maintenance and reparation. Most Belgian members will know that the USAAF attempt to destroy the Mortsel plant failed miserably, and resulted in the death of hundreds of civilians, mostly children.
Anyhow, here's the document. I am sorry for the excesive watermarking, but I did this for the obvious reason that these documents are scarcer then the proverbial hens teeth.
Best Regards,
Vincent S.
