What is your take on this phenomena(Ansichtkarte)?

I recently received this card from an Ebay seller and i was really pleased when i removed it from the envelope until i noticed it was cut on a strange manner and it apparently consisted of three layers. I already write it off as a fake print but i wonder if someone is able to enlighten me on all this.

The German text on the back of the card is original, also the postmark. The card was posted 29 VII (19)14 from Linz (Austria) to a village named Haslach (Mühlkreis).

The text on the front page is the beginning of a very famous German song. It try a translation: I had a comrade - e better one you will not find) .

The handwritten German text from a lady called Lina sent to a lady called Elle Anmeyer is corresponding to the song text because she writes that she would like know that her (girl)friend should be able to agree with the text (Vers) of that song.

I collect old Ansichtskarten, mainly "Ich hatt' einen Kameraden" cards and i have never encountered a card with three layers before until now.
Not only the card consists of three layers it is also cut along the bottom, why on earth would someone do this.
The question i am asking here is, the card consists of three layers, can i consider this as a fake print or is this a real card?

I believe it to be original. I have seen it before, when an early postcard, stored in damp place is moved inside to warm environment, suddenly "opens up"... I think it is largely due to the fact that it was trimmed on the bottom and more water got between the layers. The card is fine, just a bit damaged...

I have seen this before too on older cards. Also, if some one were to go through the trouble to "fake" it, they would have used glue all over. It is real and good, IMO.
