Bought this one today could it realy be the signature of the Wilhelm Bodewin Gustav Keitel

Who was awarded RITTERKREUZ DES EISERNEN KREUZES


VERWUNDETENABZEICHEN 20 JULI 1944 IN SCHWARZ

Any help would be great and what would it be worth

I may be wrong but I don't like the look of the stamp & signature on this. The signature looks quite shaky. Any chance of a close up of the sig & stamp area?

It is meant to be Bodewin Keitel, Wilhelm's brother. Here is an example of his signature...

Yes, it is meant to be General Der Infanterie Bodewin Keitel (The brother of Generalfeldmarschall Wilhelm Keitel) But i have to agree with hucks216, i also belive that the signature and the stamp looks a bit strange.

I still have my doubts. The signature looks like it has been done slowly as if he was trying to sign it while looking at an original example of the signature. And I still don't like the stamp.

I wouldn't be surprised if this stamp is one of the types mentioned in Post 8 & 9 in this thread on fake stamps...

Well, I've been wrong before, but I think the signature looks really bad. I've circled three areas where a hesitation - or outright start and stop - has been made. The stamp is iffy at best.

No question, an outright fake.

If you search the forum i'm sure you'll find examples of Bodewin's signature and the kind of stamp that should have been used.
