He's not an officer, but an older nco, at least of feldwebel rank, but shoulder straps are partially obscured. Typical Ebay seller error.

His rank is Feldwebel all right; we can tell from the three "wings" on his collar patches.
(The next lower rank of Unterfeldwebel would have worn two, while the next higher ranks of Oberfeldwebel and Stabsfeldwebel shared three "wings" as their collar patch insignia.)
