Has anyone seen this photo before?

A brave chap by all accounts but he may have delusions of grandeur regarding his actual rank. I guess that his right collar has probably been changed using editing software.

An Obergruppenfuhrer I very much doubt but if anyone does know the idenity of this Strumbannfuhrer, please share the knowledge.

He was an exceptionally brave officer and won the RK (awarded April 1943) as commander of III. SS-Pz-Gren-Regt "Der Fuhrer". On 19 April 1945 he was awarded the oakleaves as Obersturmbannfuhrer and commander of SS-Pz-Gren Regt 38 (SS-Pz-Gren-Div Gotz von Berlichingen) but was reported missing in action (and presumed killed) the next day.
