    photohilde is back

    Hello everybody,

just to make sure nobody pays lots of money for a postwar photo (I am pretty sure some of the forum members have already placed bids on one of them), I want to mention this seller. http://search.ebay.de/_W0QQsassZphotohilde

All of his or her WWII photos are "Belegfotos (Abzüge) von Negativen bzw. Foto-Isochrom-Platten auf s/w Agfa bzw. ORWO Fotopapier". Easy to overlook for Germans, hard to get for non-German speakers.

Here are two examples of paying good money for repros:

So are they post war prints from negatives and thus original just printed sometime after the war?

      Cheers

they are post war and they are maybe taken from original negatives, but does that make them original photo positives? i think not. Cheers, Torsten.

              Hence the question.

Are they from negatives or from scans?

If they are from negatives but printed later they can be classed as an original post war print.

              Cheers
