Would like to identify this unit emblem on the windscreen.

To me it looks like the symbol used for headquarter units of the Panzergruppe 4.

Yes or no.

Also any ideas on the large J would also be a great help.

Hi Karl,

The J stands for "Instandsetzung" [maintenance], although I have never seen a "J" displayed in such a form. Confirmation comes from the organisational symbol on the right fender, which shows the vehicle belongs to the staff of a motorised maintenance platoon.

Sorry, can't help with the other emblem in the windscreen.

The "H" is for Hoepner. Erich Hoepner commanded Panzergruppe 4 (4 Panzer Armee) from 1941 to 1942.
