    Photos

    I received a small amount of photos the other day, six 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 as well as 15 5x7 photos that seem to be from a series. These range from portrait photos of Hitler and Gorring to Nurnberg Rally, Hitler Youth marching through the streets and photos of the Hitler's residenses. Could anyone provide me some background on these series type photos? It is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks -

          Each photo has the same write-up on the reverse. Thanks for looking.

            They are from the Deutschland Erwacht cigarette card album.

              Hello Gerard,

              Thanks for the prompt reply. I will assume these are very common photos then and not much value associated with them? Are there specific photos within the series that are more sought after than others? Thanks -

                Hi Dan - I am not sure - I have read that there are colour and b/w versions of the album and from what I have seen the cards themselves are not that expensive.

                I have seen more info here ;

                (including about the rohm version).

                I am not aware of any particular cards which are more valuable thatn others - I would be interested to know the answer to that one myself too.

                  Thanks Gerard - appreciate the info.

                  I will post a couple of the other photos I received - the smaller version photos with handwriting on the reverse.

                    Here are a few of the others I received. It seems most of these are from an individual who was fighting in Poland and Bulgaria from 1939 -1941.
