Excellent photos Ron! I have a set of photos that are very similar and taken during a winter battle. These are very nice.

They look like Heer troops, though I suppose that if an SS PKman was in the area, he could take their pics as well. Lake Ladoga is near Lenningrad.

Excellent Pictures Ron, thank you for sharing.
Shows the real tension of men in battle.
The picture with the scared Russian POWS, say it all about that
theatre of war, not much chance that either side would survive the
war, the russians on the POW marches and the German troops in the
horrible battles of attrition.
