About 2 years ago, the History Channel made a documentry about the Third Reich in Colour.
It was a fantastic collection of unpublished colour movie footage telling the story of the rise and fall of hitlers third reich.
At the end of the documentry, the program shows about 1 minutes worth of the last known footage of the third reich, german soldiers prepairing with panzerfausts and stug panzers to defend the outskirts of Berlin.
I just recently acquired a large 16mm colour film taken by a US airforce officer in germany in 1945 in the dieing days of the Third Reich. I was going through the film and at the very very end, the film fades away with the images of american sherman tanks racing towards Berlin in the last days of the Third Reich.
I just think its cool, to see the last days of the third reich in colour from the american side
