Can anyone identify these female RAD emblems?

    Hi everyone,

I was going through a small stack of private photo albums that I have stored in the garage today and I found this unusual female RAD album. It has their broach design on the cover, and all the girls in the private photos seem to have this unusual RAD patch design on their uniform.

Were these girls part of a leadership school for future female RAD leaders? That's my best guess. Am I way off, and it's something else? Does anyone know?

    Thanks in advance!
    John

Yancy...thank you very much, mystery solved!

I really appreciate your RAD expertise in solving this question. I also have one of these original early broaches in my collection, but always thought it was some sort of leaders variation. Now I know better.

            Thank you again
            John
