      brilliant, elwyn!
thanks a lot, i compared pictures elsewhere and agree.

      on the second picture:
there should be a book by horst scheibert on the
      persons who received the ehrenpokal.

unfortunately, i do not have it.
      but maybe someone here?

ltn. bauer receied it in february 1941...?

      best regards,
      taube.

There are 21 Bauers listed in Scheibert's book. Only two are Leutnants and the earliest was awarded on 08.12.41. The earliest issued to a Bauer was 07.10.41.

February 1941 is pre Ehrenliste date so all those after September 1941 are only listed....the Ehrenpokal was awarded from 1940 sometime...forget the date but I have posted it on the forum before regarding Ehrenliste.

If he won the German Cross then this could be him.

          Leutnant Herbert Bauer, I./Stuka-Geschwader 2

Or even Ritterkreuzträger....these would be easily checked in Obermaier's books!

            Oberleutnant Viktor Bauer, 9./Jagd-Geschwader 3
            Ritterkreuz 30.07.1941

            Oberleutnant Herbert Bauer, 3./Stuka-Geschwader 2
            Ritterkreuz 31.12.1943
