    EK Documents

    Hi guys,

This should be relatively easy and fun – I am looking for pictures of EK 1 and 2 documents and wehrpass/soldbuch entries. If you have something interesting please post it here, but if you cannot or do not want to post just send them to me via e-mail (info@wehrmacht-awards.com). All of them are welcome, I can’t have too many pictures, so don’t be shy, help out, and send them on over!

        Hey Seba,
Remember Uncle Willy? He's in the Silver wound badge section. I have his EK II doc, Silver wound doc, the EK II, Silver wound badge and the entries are in his wehrpass. If you want photos I can send them, just let me know. It might not be a bad idea, you could link them back to his story.

                  Hi Seba,

I have mailed some EK1&2 doc groupings to you, I hope they are off some juse for you.
There are 4 LW groupings with 2 of them awarded to later Ehrenpokal inhabers, 1 WH group awarded in Mai and June 1940 and 1 KM group for a U-boot fahrer.
If you want more info about the different groups, just let me know.
I also have a EK2 doc. for a Jäger awarded for Monte Cassino, if you like a copy of it, just ask me.

Nice docs Steve. Here's another rare one to a guy from SS Fallschirm Jager Batl.600 who won it at the Oder River in 1945.

Nice one Eric! Good to see a rare item, interesting to see the variations in the award text used too.

                            Hi Seba,

If you are still after EK Documents I have an EK II Doc to an Unterscharfuhrer in Regt Der Fuhrer complete with the type written citation detailing the reason for his winning the award which was for actions south of Kharkov in Feb 43. I can email it on to you.

                            Cheers and Happy New Year

                              Seba:
Here are three more for you...all to Großdeutschland soldiers. The first two scans are obverse and reverse of the first document. On the reverse is a summary of teh action the soldier was involved in that earned him the award. Note that he served as a sniper.

The second two documents are EKIIs to different soldiers. They are all the more interesting, beyond being from the Großdeutschland, in that they are both signed by Hoernlein. The first is a facsimilie... the most common way to find his signature. The second is an actual signature - much rarer and done at a time when he was commanding the regiment before it expanded to a division. Hoernlein went n to become an OL winner.
