Spoken with Laurens and Jan About this piece at the fair in Ciney.
Any opions , and what is was for??? Are extra welcom .
It meassures L 1.20 meter on 50 CM ...
Anyone know's a piece like this ?
What was it made for ?
And what is is it worth ?

I think Bill might be referring to me. I do believe these are fakes. In 30 years of collecting I never saw a paper ration sack until the last few years.Now I see them everywhere. All the ration sacks I'm familiar with are made of hard wearing materials so they could be re used. I can't state with absolute certainty that paper sacks weren't made. However even if proof surfaces that paper was used; I'd be suspicious of this bag based on the artificial water damage, new looking print, new thread etc. WR Jim
