I am a reenactor getting ready for a public battle, as part of the interaction with the visitors I am planning on holding a paycall for my company. I need any information on how a paycall for the german army was held during the war at a sight where there is no battle going on but they are there awaiting a fight (such as the west wall). When I was in the Marine Corps we used to have to show our ID tags and ID card then sign for the cash, I wondered if the German soldiers may of had to do something similar? also any information on the cash box, money box whatever they paid them out of. and documents that may have been used such as how to mark the pay book, signing ledgers etc.... I have already posted this on the Reenactor Forum with no responses "yet" thanks
